We were joined by Minister of Transport for coffee and kōrero on a busy Saturday morning. It was wonderful speaking with Mt Roskill locals and those who had travelled from around Auckland to watch their tamariki play winter sports. We can't wait to bring light rail to Auckland and provide a fast and reliable public transport option for whānau to get around at the weekend.
Balmoral Street Food Night Market - 29 July
We had a great evening at the Balmoral Night Market sampling the array of incredible food on offer! Thanks to everyone who came to chat with us about light rail. We enjoyed talking to locals about how they currently get around, and how a rapid transit system will make it easier for them to move across Auckland.
Māngere Town Centre Markets - 23 July
We had a great time at the vibrant Māngere markets on Saturday speaking to lots of locals who were excited to hear about light rail coming to the neighbourhood.
Many shared how difficult it currently is to get to and from the city centre and universities. They were thrilled to hear about the 30-minute journey that light rail will create for future generations.
A big thanks to the I AM Māngere crew who joined us and were busy cooking and giving out free kai with the valuable korero.
Matariki ki Onehunga: Origins of Fire - 16 July 2022
Hosted by The 312 Hub in Taumanu Reserve, it was great to meet so many Onehunga locals and share information about the project.

Puketāpapa Kite Day - 26 June 2022
Thanks to everyone we met at Puketāpapa Kite Day in partnership with Puketāpapa Local Board on 26 June.
It was great to engage with locals on the project along with Minister of Transport Michael Wood. Thanks to everyone who shared their views and feedback. Of those we spoke with, 92% were in support of the project, and 8% weren't sure, but were interested.
